+ The Tea Party might have a quasi-mainstream official platform, but it also seems to be a magnet for far right loonies, angry racists, borderline psychotics and those that are simply grossly misinformed.
+ These shirts are for those fringe nutjobs that make the Tea Party rallies so much fun to read about.
Those are funny, but this makes it sound like people involved with the Tea Party are all ignorant or like the Tea Party is a bad thing. There are extremists associated with every group and they usually set the tone or “stereotype” for that particular group. Are all black people criminals? Are all white people who come from the country rednecks? Are all Mexicans illegal immigrants? All Catholic priests molest boys, right? All Muslims are terrorists, right?
The Tea Party is a good thing especially when you have groups of everyday people up actually talking about the issues and getting educated on what’s going on. Unfortunately there are many who misunderstand what this movement is all about and when someone with the wrong idea and strong opinions or warped views gets in front of a microphone on a globally criticized platform it could make any group look bad.
If I started an activists group in the name of Avatar originally intended to promote peace and a few lunatics joined and were constantly seen spouting off anything crazy they could come up with that part would go mainstream the real message would become lost altogether and everyone would get the impression that anyone associated with Avatar has psychological issues or that Avatar is a bad thing. You see what I mean?
Nevertheless I do enjoy a good laugh.

The Tea Party IS the fringe nutter group. They're the fringe nutters of the Republican party.
The Tea Party was originally designed for people associated with all political parties who believe our country is heading in the wrong direction. They created a platform where any citizen of any age could come together and voice their concerns for the future. It was supposed to be a positive, educational, and empowering tool to bring the American dream back into the picture. Due to the extremists, which as I said exist in any group has made the overall message of the original Tea Party to take a back seat to the Pro-Republican “Tea Parties” and the Pro-Democrat “Tea Parties,” which aren’t really Tea Parties they’re just rallies for those who are Pro-Republican or Pro-Democrat. Those are just ongoing campaign rallies designed to keep things stirred up. True Tea Party groups are tired of it being a fight against Republicans vs. Democrats and just want this country to come back to reality. At real Tea Party events you mostly see older citizens talking about social security and how they’re barely getting by. They’re talking about education and all of the important things that really should be discussed. For instance the price of everything has gone up. Obama our all American bubble boy says the cost of living across America hasn’t gone up so those on social security haven’t gotten a raise since Obama has been in office. That is directly impacting the lives of the baby boomers and veterans, which is a very large group of individuals who are seasoned registered voters. Then the democrats tried to make forward progress to cut areas of Medicare and other vital systems to which senior citizens rely. We’re talking about people who need these programs so they can get the prescription medications they need so they don’t die. So in 2012 you’re going to see a lot of older folks during early voting and Obama will not be making a second term. This is what people both Republican and Democrat alike discuss at real Tea Parties because when you’re on social security making $400 - $800 per month with the price of everything on the rise and the leaders are cutting all your programs; what party you belong to doesn’t matter it’s all about survival. What you see in the mainstream media about these “Tea Parties” are actually Pro-Republican or Pro-Democrat rallies.
You dislike Republicans I take it, alright… We’ve all seen the “Tea Party” footage where Sara Palin makes an appearance and speaks. Those aren’t real Tea Parties those are political stunts at Pro-Republican rallies, which are now called Tea Parties to completely discredit people who dislike the direction the country is going in.
So I personally disagree with the direction we’re going in, but because of the extremists I’ve been placed in the category of either being completely nuts or I’m a racist. The extremists do not define my view as they’re only the minority, but they have the majority of the mainstream lime light and they’re what everyone sees. That’s why Glenn Beck himself calls them dangerous because they believe what they’re saying and they’re actually promoting the possibility of using force to take the country back. Even Tsyal Makto missed that point as seen in a recent post of his.
Tsyal is your opinion of Glenn Beck due to what you’ve seen or read on Media Matters or do you actually watch his show and listen to him?
A 'lil of both. I tried listening to his show once, just to hear what I could hear. It was...ugh. The TV show ain't much better.
I think this clip is the worst.

But I digress...
People see Glenn Beck as the poster boy for the Tea Party, but he's not part of the "Tea Party" they think he's part of. He's in the Pro-American let's turn America around and bring the dream back Tea Party.
Why the hell would you name yourselves the tea party? Is any actual tea drinking happening at their parties? :P
