http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHcExHZR-q0 This Video is amazing, it really is Avatar's story, and listening to those people, wow, they're amazing, they really do live one with nature, and depend on it, and they are willing to die to protect they're forest... now that reminds me of something... Avatar. Ofcourse, as a christian, i don't agree with their religion, because there's only One God, and humans should have no other idols, or worship anything else. But people like them, i doubt they ever even heard of God, so they worship what keeps them alive: their forest and their mountains. So its really amazing the way they live :) And a very sad story... Those bastards are acting just like the rda did on Pandora, conquering and destroying with no rights, selfish bastards... That little kid at the end of the film, will be about 6 years old i'd say, just look at him, he's as brave and mature as a 20 year old in our society... damn... He reminds of Tsu'tey :)

Thanks Melandru :) I see you, but i think any word i'd say to them would just vanish... It would be like Grace's talk to Selfrifge about Pandora's forest, they don't want to understand, they know they're killing plants, and ruining families, but for them profit is more important than these things -_- I couldn't do anything more than the tribe has already done, they've got to the point where they're willing to die for their family and for their land... It's very sad, and a perfect example of how ruined today's society is...

I'm really sorry about that! You're right, it has been removed sadly... It's because this thread is very old you see, and actually I'm quite happy you brought this old thread of mine up because that video was really touching :(
Anyway, I don't remember exactly man, but it was about a native population, in south America I think, and man, they we're so much like the Na'vi! So in sync with the forest, and actually worshipped it as their faith. But, a corporation arrived, and started mining and destroying their holy mountain for alluminium or something I think... And it showed the poor natives suffering, and the shots of the site looked just like the beginning of Avatar... :nangry: So yeah, it looked like RDA on Earth, these people just came, and with no permission or dignity, they took away THEIR HOME :nsad: -.- In the end, I wonder how it ended up... They tried to fight a bit but you know how it goes sadly, very sad only :(

Oh yes very familer with the story of the Dongria Kondh tribe from India , there story has a happy ending , if you ask the people at survial international , about the Avatar connection in this case many would find it quite intresting, Avatar in part played a huge role in giving the Dongria Kondh there voice back, As people saw a very strong connection betwean the films story and what they saw happeing for real here, there are many other issues with tribes around the world simply look at whats happening in South America in the Amazon in Brazil,and Peru all these people need our voice and avatar is a powerfull example that realy moves some peoples hearts I would love to see a tool that would let them speak there mind without the need of an outside aid agency.

Thanks its great to see the power of the the many people who stood with the Dongria Kondh tribe , the fact Avatar played a part in moving peoples hearts on this issue is very compelling as well, corporations or goverments who dont respect the enviroment or human rights realy fear this films symbolic message (and no I dont feel all corporations are bad)
