We see plants leaves, and beady things, but what about the fabrics for their loincloths? Are they animal skins? But then there are Neytiri's purple trousers... Does anyone know for certain or have any ideas?

They order it in Weta Workshop :nlol:

Strange as it may seem but they use looms to make cloth. Actually only JC knows something for certain, but you can find some hints in the Pandorapedia (http://www.fileserve.com/file/84cUHX7).

That's what I wondered, if they had the means for something like that... So do you they make it from certain plants or something?
But yeah, Pandora probably has it's own Weta workshop not far from Hometree? Thank you for the link, I will check it out.

Well the Acitvist's Survival Guide says the Omaticaya are very good at weaving items. "...the Omaticaya are renowned for their brilliant textiles. Thus the loom plays a key role in the daily life of the clan...." looms of various sizes helps them to weave cloth, hammocks, mats and hanging decorations. As for the materials, the probably use plant fibres. Before polymers we made our clothes from materials taken from plants so i'm sure that's what the Na'vi do as well :nsmile: it must take a long time though.

Oh right! Excellent, thank you very much :) Well they clearly take pride in their work. It's not like they have busy schedules of work or anything!
