That's not true. The 3D version will be just like the Collector's Edition, only in 3D.

It has three editions - the original theorical release, the extended release (8 extra minutes) and the directors cur extended edition (16 extra minutes and they are GOOD)

Plus, it is rumored to be available in the US from Dec. 1, 2010 on - but only if you buy a certain Panasonic 3D home entertainment product (A 3D TV, 3D blu-ray player or whole 3D blue-ray player plus audio system. Panasonic Germany has this offer, which started Nov. 1, 2010 and which will expire Jan. 8, 2011... Might be, that after that day, the 3D blu-ray will be available without that package from one electronics manufacturer only...

Pansaonic Germany shows us the offer like this: http://www.panasonic.de/html/de_DE/Produkte/Flachbildfernseher/3D+Welt/Exklusiv+mit+Panasonic+-+AVATAR+3D+Blu-ray+Disc/6111252/index.html#anker_6111252

Wiggling bare toes, not falling for this,

That's not true. The 3D version will be just like the Collector's Edition, only in 3D.Please stop making things up when you have no idea. The 3D bluray of Avatar is the original 162 min release. It does NOT contain the extra 8min of CGI that the Special Edition has nor does it have the extra 16min the Collectors Edition has. Please stop making things up.

Sorry, but not much information has been given about the release until just recently. I just assumed it'd include everything like the Collector's Edition.

If someone asks a question and you have no idea what the answer is you cant just make things up and pretend they are real. This is a good example of why forums have so much misinformation. Its all due to people posting what they make up in their own minds when in reality its completely different. I think people like you are a big problem in online forums today. If you dont know or you're not sure then please DONT post. Things like this just aggravate me so much...

Have to agree with Voodoo, for such an avid forum goer with over 1000 posts you should know better. The OP obviously had seen a promo for the 3D release that suggested it was only the original version so he made this thread looking for legit information. But then as the very first reply you flat out lied with no knowledge on the subject, just an assumption. Extremely bad form.

Completely different representation between your two posts:

That's not true. The 3D version will be just like the Collector's Edition, only in 3D.
