I would like to see these tributes very much, but I’m on dial-up and they just take so long to load. The only tribute I have managed to load is Helaku’s tribute he loaded on Vemo. It’s the only one I’ve seen, but it’s my favorite so far. The none HD version took me nearly five hours to load. (1.5 MB = 30 minute download). I’m working to get my finances adjusted so that I can afford high speed internet AND make monthly donations to the site. I should be getting to that point sometime after the first of the year hopefully and after I have faster internet I’m defiantly going to be looking at your tributes as well as some other areas of Avatar-Forums that always takes a while to load. (I get load errors a lot or right in the middle of loading something my internet will suddenly stop transferring so any video or photo has to start over from scratch). :\

As far as the copyright laws go for fans making tributes there “shouldn’t” be any issues as long as you make your tribute in a trailer style music video. As long as your tribute doesn’t try to tell or follow along with the original story it “should” be fine. As I mentioned in another thread copyright laws are very sketchy especially with the internet and they constantly change. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t want tribute videos because it’s FREE publicity/advertisement. I mean had I seen Helaku’s Vemo tribute instead of the theatrical trailer I would have defiantly gone to see the movie in the cinema when it was first released. The trailer I got in my area was… you see Na’vi Jake jumping off the cliff and Neytiri looking around the tree with the voice over “Immerse yourself in a whole new world… in ….. AVATAR!” That’s it…. and they didn’t run that many ads. The point being these tributes may gain Fox and those involved in Avatar more revenue. People who may not even no about Avatar might stumble across one of these fan tributes and like what they see enough to seek the movie out to own it.

It’s a shame really, but at least some of the videos stay up.

A video of the hunt festival was posted in another thread. I do not have a Blu-Ray player on my computer so I can not get the images to anybody.
