View Full Version : How Much Ammo in an AMP Suit?

How much ammunition for the 30mm cannon do you think an AMP suit carries? The long feed chain seems to hold about 100-120 rounds just based on a freeze-frame guestimate. The storage bin on the back of the suit doesn't look very big (and there needs to be space left for the fuel and engine for the suit as well as the cockpit. So I'm guessing maybe 300 rounds or so. Not a lot really...

The weapon is called a GAU-90, fires 30mm rounds, armour piercing and explosive at 250 rounds per min.
From what information that can be gathered it seems that it indeed does carry 300 rounds. That being said the AMP is used to attack specific targets, so the engagements would be brief. That and they could always reduce the rate of fire as well.

I haven't been able to find this information in any of the books BUT the avatar game has the amp suit with 2000 rounds.

Depends on the caliber of the rounds really, caseless ammo and a big enough pack would do it.

I would say around 500 rounds.

More then 150 and more then 300.
