Not to hate or disdain on the Na'vi costumers, because you all have some serious quality going on, but where is the love for the Sky People? Where are the Camo Pattern threads and the Sky People camo? Where are the prop weapon threads? Where are those brave enough to dress as humans with signs that read, 'Smurf Hunting Season!'? I haven't been on this forum site in months because, but I have to ask the question. The question that will get me hated on, but I'm MORE than willing to take the heat and still be constructive about whatever criticism I get. So bring on the comments and talk to me.

Right question is , why there should be any human lovers?
After watching Avatar I felt hate to Skypeople, except scientists, Trudy and Jake. And when I recognized, that it is very probable scenario in case we will find planet full of material that we want I feel ashamed that I even belong to our race. Lets put it together I was very glad after movie because skypeople were defeated...

Because there are very few people who support them. And half of them only do so to play devils advocate.

And as far as sci-fi factions go, they're not really that interesting...

I personally would like to know -more- about the Sky People and, frankly, Avatar left them very empty and as two-dimensional bad guys. Woopie do. The fact that some of them, like Parker, are scheduled to return in Avatar 2 makes me a bit excited! I am in supported of fleshed out, multi-dimensional characters! Let the Sky People get the same treatment that the Na'vi had too...it makes for a more complex story.

I totally agree with Mandy on this. Love 'em or hate 'em - or somewhere in between - you need Sky People to help drive the plot. They don't need to be all out villains, of course, but the stark contrast they create next to the Na'vi helps us appreciate the Na'vi even more. Plus, being humans, Sky People add an extra (and very important) layer of relevance to the story, as their sub-story underscores many of the biggest struggles we as a race must deal with, now and especially looking forward.

I, too, would like to see a few more Sky People get fleshed out, because I think it would add poignancy to the story and illustrate that not everything is so cut-and-dry, or black-and-white. Not saying that the RDA deserves "more love", so to speak; just that I believe the overall story contains plenty of room to include more dimensions from those characters, without stealing the spotlight from the Na'vi or Pandora.

Not to mention there are things let out from the original script...

Lolol. So serious.

I think its a pretty simple answer.

Cosplaying is not just the identifying and representing a fictional character, but more of a artistic process. The act of creating and perfecting the costume to resemble the character is truly where the love of cosplay come from.

With that said I think it's pretty clear - Why cosplay as a character with not much costume design?

The RDA have a pretty standard outfit and there isn't much character design that distinguishes them from a normal solider. (Besides the vehicles, really).

I am working on a Na'vi cosplay at the moment and it is not because I am trying to get some silly statement across like, "OMG HUMANS ARE SO EVIL" - but really because I just like the Na'vi native American aesthetic and their outfits have been very fun/engaging to try to recreate.

I think the RDA costume would be relatively easy and not very fun.

I like the colonel, I thought he was bad ***.

RDA cosplay would be easy, unless you're making an AMP suit.

I made a thread on it months ago, but no one was interested.

From screencaps at any distance the closest camo pattern is CADPAT. Up close, its totally different.

I chose to make a human cosplay because I thought knowone else would be able or willing to do it, I also feel people are forgetting the WHOLE moive was made by "skypeople". If some of us have those thoughts we can't all be bad.8316 i know it is easy to relate to the Na'vi, but many of those ideals are also human ones as well. OH and if you want diffacult to cosplay......BEAT THIS

That cosplay is pretty epic. Are there any more of that group?
