Hi there,

new to this forum.

Watching Avatar gave me the impression that what the movie is "really" about is not nature, but technology.

Many have noted - and it is hinted at in the movie - that Pandoran nature in many ways is similar to the internet. Pandora's nature seems to be a thinking entity - but perhaps more like a futuristic kind of designed (intelligent) internet rather than nature come about through random evolution?

Is Avatar really about two types of competing technologies (Human vs. Pandoran), rather than nature vs. technology?

Any thoughts on this?

Are there any threads dedicated to similar questions? Been browsing but could not find any.
