Hey there... some of you may not know about the environmental video project Alan started: see http://www.avatar-forums.com/contests-community-projects/12143-ive-got-idea.html . We need more people to volunteer for shots, folks. Alan is British and hence polite and reserved about promoting his project, which is tucked away in the Community Project forum. I was British but I moved to North America a long time ago and so now I'm a S.O.B. :)
Take a look at the thread and volunteer for a shot or three by PMing Alan. Doesn't require any video talent... any talent at all really. We're not competing at Cannes. If you've ever put a video on Youtube or sat on a photocopier, you're qualified.
Seriously... I cam to this forum too late to participate in the fan book by the time I found out about it. That bummed me out. You might feel the same way about this video when it comes out if you're not on board. Think about it, okay?

Yep Sempu, already on board, this is going to be a lot of fun, I can't wait to take umpteen shots and half an hour to record each 5 second segment lol.
The more I think about it, the more I think that this will be a good thing to put together and I hope that everyone who is considering to do this, to just give it a go, as later on you may look back and say that it looks great and you wished that you could have been a part of it.
If I can get my ugly mug in front of the camera, I think a lot of you out there can as well, as it can only be up from my shots HAhAha.
Go on, have a go.

I agree with Sempu, we need to do this, so get on board! Plus it is a very good excuse (oh like you need one... :) ) to go outdoors and a chance to change those who do not see!

@Sempu: Thanks for being an S.O.B. (your words, not mine!) and persevering with the promotion of this project. BTW, have we gotten any more buy-in from ToS? Last I heard, the number was less than 10. Just curious.
@Everyone in general: As Alan and others have stated before, it would be nice to have more females involved. I don't want to have to resort to wearing makeup and a skirt to affect the gender balance, but I will if I have to. =P

I can do like 15 scenes at the max, but I'm glad to help.

I'm more than happy to help in any way, but all I have is an Ipod touch at the moment. Still, research or anything else like that, I can help out.

Hey, Sempu,
I missed this thread you started! Crickey, kinda made me realise I ain't been posting to regular of late, but I'm sure you know how it is at the moment at HQ for our film project. :nlol:
I haven't had any photocopier images through yet...'Ere did this posting get moved to this candle lit end of the forum again? Oooo! :nangry:
I know what you mean about the fan book - I just missed it. I wonder if they got to hear anything back from Mr Cameron or his team?
Irayo for posting this message though. It appears we have one taker who I will say kaltxi to.

Kaltxi Txur'tan,
So sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I've only just seen this thread as I've been in the thick of it.
If your Ipod touch has a camera and can record sound I think you might be in business! I'll send you some PMs giving you a link to the script, filming tips and how to upload footage.
Hope your still interested, tsmukan.
Oel ngati kameie,
Alan
