hey guys

So I know everyones first reaction when seeing the title would be them yelling BLASPHEMY but hear me out. Say hypothetically Cameron decided to pass the reigns of directing onto someone else while he acted as an overseer of the project and produce it. I know everyone's first choice would be to have Cameron direct but for the fun of it say that was the case.

Who would you want to direct Avatar 2? who do you think could bring the best story, emotion and what not to our favourite universe?

remember that lots of successful sequels are directed by people who did not helm the hugely successful originals. James Cameron is evidence of that with Aliens. from what I've read people FREAKED when he was announced as the director but we've all seen the finished product. Other great examples are Irvin Kershner directing Star Wars Empire Strikes Back which is largely considered the best in the entire saga.

So yeah...if Cameron didnt direct (I know we all want him to) who would you want?

I wouldnt mind Chris Nolan...his movies are amazing!!

JJ Abrahams or Del Toro would do interesting versions of Avatar. You can hardly argue that films like Pan's Laberinth or the latest Star Trek were bad films.

Peter Jackson hands down, hey he started WETA digital. Or at least its a subsidiary of his realm.

I may not know who will direct the sequel to Avatar if Cameron weren't going to, but I do know for a fact that Jeremiah is correct - James Cameron will be directing the sequel.

To me the new "Star Trek" was a very bad film, except for Zoe of course.

My favorite directors include:
James Cameron, Steven Speilburg, Peter Jackson, and Ridley Scott. But probably more so Peter Jackson and Ridley Scott because I like their character development.
As long as it is one of them directing, I am fine but I'd prefer James Cameron since he knows what his fans want.
