A possible way to get more members?

Well, I read this topic http://www.avatar-forums.com/showthread.php?t=85 earlier and noticed that it encouraged members to join. So I just figured that if this thread inconspicuously encourages people to join then shouldn't they be automatically redirected to the thread so that about 50% more guests read the thread and then the rate that the forum popularity is increasing would accelerate. Just a thought.

We already have a system in place where if quests look @ more than 5 pages it redirects them to a page where they need to register. We could always use that text in there though that would be a good idea :P

move the shoutbox on top...


when members users sign in or just visit ..they are ooo shoutbox ... for members to chat... it more motivate them to sign in and make the shoutboc more crowded...to be hoest i haven seeen the shoutbox have more then 10 members at a time.. ...
when the forums have like 100+ members reading stuff... trust me... but is just my o2..

There's not really much point in that, I'm used to it being at the bottom, and I assume that most other people are. It will look messy at the top.

u should go to .. zilvia.net and other forums..is alway on tops..and it ended up having gazillion of members..because guess who visit this forums.are likely just thinking this forums is just like many other forums.. but didnt know there a shoutbox ...like me. i signed up..little i know that their are a shoutbox..so i was like screws this until someone talking about irc
